Apple updates Mac mini, adding server configuration
Well, wouldn’t you know it—someone at Apple was paying attention to those of us who have been praising the Mac mini as a good server. Because in October Apple announced a new configuration of Mac mini designed specifically to be a server. The new $999 Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server is a fantastic product for workgroups, small businesses, and even schools to use. But for some other common uses, you might be better off buying a regular old Mac mini instead.

So you thought FireFox was the most secure web browser? - Posted by webmaster
Two times a year, the American company Cenzic presents a report where attacks, bugs and security issues that have been discovered on the internet are being presented. The most recent reports include number from the first half of 2009, and it is not any good numbers for Firefox.

Most of the reports are from SQL-injections and such, so only 8 percent of the cases are regarding web browsers, but among these 8 percent, the web browser has 44 percent of the problems and Apple Safari has 35 percent. IE and Opera does best with 15 and 6 percent.

YouTube begins streaming 1080p next week - Posted by webmaster
YouTube will start streaming 1080p movies next week. Their current maximum is 720p.
We're excited to say that support for watching 1080p HD videos in full resolution is on its way. Starting next week, YouTube's HD mode will add support for viewing videos in 720p or 1080p, depending on the resolution of the original source, up from our maximum output of 720p today.

As resolution of consumer cameras increases, we want to make sure YouTube is the best home on the web to showcase your content. For viewers with big monitors and a fast computer, try switching to 1080p to get the most out of the fullscreen experience.
Apple has built a better mouse. - Posted by iDad
Apple has built a better mouse.
It began with iPhone. Then came iPod touch. Then MacBook Pro. Intuitive, smart, dynamic. Multi-Touch technology introduced a remarkably better way to interact with your portable devices — all using gestures. Now we’ve reached another milestone by bringing gestures to the desktop with a mouse that’s unlike anything ever before. It's called Magic Mouse. It's the world's first Multi-Touch mouse. And while it comes standard with every new iMac, you can also add it to any Bluetooth-enabled Mac for a Multi-Touch makeover.

Spotify Mobile - Posted by Johnathan

Today/Yesterday the Spotify Mobile application was announced. There are apps for both iPhone and the Android platforms.
They do require you to have a premium account which will set you back £10 a month.
At first it does seem to be quite a lot but it does give you as much music as you want from thousands of labels.
I'd wanted to go premium for a while now but just to get rid of advertisements that I didn't really mind to begin with just wasn't worth it for me but the release of the iPhone app changed that. I'm planning to use Spotify for all my music as I can have offline playlists when I don't have internet access.

Go here to get a full overview of the mobile apps - http://wixyy.com/6cf9

Novatel Wireless last week announced it will release the MiFi, a portable wireless router that will deliver wireless 3G data network access to multiple users in a small area. Much the same size as a credit card, the sleek looking MiFi will let users select access to EVDO or HSPA high speed data networks.

Looks petty nice and sounds like a good idea IMO. There's a few other things that do the same sort of thing, one for Windows Mobile didn't really read into it but would it not cost a lot for the data transfer?
